Sensational Ceremonies came about as an opportunity to provide for my family while I pursued ministries that did not have the financial resource to compensate me. When building Sensational Ceremonies I wanted to create a company that put our team members first. Knowing that many of our team members would be pastors of small churches, parachurch organizations, or like me, ministries that didn’t pay anything, we wanted to give others the opportunity to minister however they want without worrying how to provide for their families. With that philosophy in mind, we take care of our officiants, we cover the team with liability insurance, provide business cards, extensive advertising, and collateral materials to promote you in your local community.
Yes, this is a business first, but it is also a ministry. As you will see in the testimonials below there are frequent opportunities to minister to the couples that we work with. While we are there with them at this integral point in their lives, they often reach out to us when their children are born, and sometimes when a loved one has passed. So, as you can see there are opportunities to minister all the time.
So, how do you get started? We have a simple three step interview process. First, you will meet with one of our team leaders. You will get another perspective on Sensational Ceremonies, and they will find out if you would be a good fit for our organization. Second, you will talk with our Vice President of Business Development. He will talk with you more about the business side of Sensational Ceremonies and how things work. Lastly, you’ll have a conversation with me. I want to know our people and their families, answer any questions that you might have, and have the opportunity to pray with you.
It’s that simple! If you think that you’d be a good fit for Sensational Ceremonies and that it would be a blessing to you and your family then fill free to contact us at email@example.com

It has been nothing but a joy and a blessing for me to be a part of Sensational Ceremonies for the past several years. Of course it is great to make a little extra income and help meet my family obligations and have some extra money for fun, but in reality, the money pales in comparison to the joy and fulfillment I get by being such an integral part of a couple’s special day. Knowing that I am helping to bring two people together as husband and wife is such a unique pleasure and I am beyond thankful that I have that privilege. The friendships I have formed and the sheer excitement the day brings spills over onto all of us and it is truly a blessing. Not only that, but it has also helped to mold, grow, and transform my own marriage as well!
In 2010, I was working full-time for an International Ministry and pastoring a small Baptist Church part time, and was praying for a way to make additional income … and then the opportunity to become the Team Leader for the Sensational Ceremonies West Coast Florida Team presented itself in July of that year. Since then, my family life and ministry situation have gone through a complete metamorphosis, so that I am now full-time with Sensational Ceremonies, and my wife is also in the wedding industry full-time as a Wedding Photographer. The stabilizing factor through all of the changes has been the steady source of income and ministry opportunities that Sensational Ceremonies has provided. For example, I performed the ceremony for a bride and groom in my first few years with Sensational Ceremonies, and then a few years later performed the baby dedication for their daughter, and just this past week performed the memorial service for the bride’s father who passed away. She commented that I had come “full circle” with their family, and was extremely grateful that I had been their “pastor” in each of those life-changing moments. I am so thankful for the opportunities that Sensational Ceremonies has created in my family life and ministry.

Nearly 4 years ago I was in limbo of where I felt God was calling me for a profession. I was serving as a youth pastor in a mid sized church in deep East Texas and knew that God was calling me to a different place and different ministry. My wife is a wedding photographer and I was able to officiate a couple of weddings each month. I ran into a advertisement in a ministry job forum looking for real ministers to do weddings. I ended up being part of a three minister team for the the Dallas area as we opened a new market for Sensational Ceremonies. In the past 3 1/2 years I have been able to increase my wedding count at a steady pace due to the vast advertising that SC does on my behalf. They provided me with a kit of wedding scripts that I was able to provide my couples as well as marketing tricks of the trade. In the past year, I was able to bring SC into a new market and be able to work both markets simultaneously. I now serve as the Associate Pastor of a Church Plant in Tyler, TX and marry several couples each week on average to provide an income for my family.

Talking about reinventing yourself! I retired early in life from a profession in sales to the Orlando area, and took a position with the YMCA just to pass the time. Little did I know that I would become friends with Rev Ferguson through that position. He eventually started Sensational Ceremonies, and I joined him shortly after that and started performing wedding ceremonies as Vice President of Business Development. Over the years, I have conducted nearly 1,500 wedding ceremonies, met wonderful people from across the globe, made more new friends both in the wedding industry and with brides and grooms. In the process, I have added a wonderful level of income to my bottom line. My wife is now president of a wedding licensing business as well, and together we are more fulfilled and happier than we have ever been. My only regret is that we did not do what we are currently doing many years earlier. It has been a great ride, and I would not trade my experience for anything in the world. Working with Sensational Ceremonies has been a fulfilling experience that has provided me with a heightened sense of self-worth. Success tends to do that! What a treat it has been.
